ArASNews is the electronic newsletter of the Armenian Astronomical Society. It was distributed to all ArAS members since the beginning of 2002, 4 times a year, typically at the end of each trimester. Since 2009, 8 issues annually are being released. However, a few hardcopies are available in the BAO library, at ArAS secretariat and archives. ArASNews publishes information materials on ArAS, Byurakan Observatory and the Armenian astronomy in general, reports on ArAS Annual Meetings and participation of the Armenian astronomers in important international meetings, articles on occasion of anniversaries of famous Armenian astronomers and ArAS members, acceptance of new ArAS members, achievements of the Armenian astronomers, astronomical education in Armenia, Armenian archaeoastronomy, as well as science articles (reviews) on important studies.

 

Tigran Magakian was the first editor of ArASNews since the beginning of its publication (2002-2004, issues #1-12), Lusine Sargsyan edited ArASNews in 2005 (issues #13-16), Lilit Hovhannisyan was the editor in 2006-2007 (issues #17-24), and Areg Mickaelian is the editor since 2008.
