The conference
was organized in honour of V.A. Ambartsumian’s 80th
anniversary.
Organizing Committee:
Coming from
the traditional fields of interest of the Byurakan Observatory, following
topics were included in the program of the conference:

Activity of Galactic Nuclei and Quasars
·
Treatment, Classification, and Archiving of the
Astronomical Information
The Conference
was opened by welcome introduction by V.A. Ambartsumian. More than 20 reports
were presented in it.
