ArAS
ANNUAL MEETINGS AND ASSOCIATED EVENTS
ArAS Annual Meetings are the most important
ArAS activity. They gather most of the ArAS members and other astronomers to
report and discuss scientific results obtained during a year, as well as
discuss the ArAS affairs. The meetings are being organized typically in summer in the
Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO). All Armenian and other astronomers
are invited to take part in them and present their recent results and/or
reviews on their works. A few annual meetings were combined with other events held
in Byurakan, like the Byurakan-Abastumani XIII Joint Colloquium in 2003 and the
BAO 60th Anniversary Meeting in 2006. ArAS VI Annual Meeting was a
part of the Joint European and National Astronomy Meeting (JENAM) and was held in the
Yerevan State University in August 2007.
The languages of the ArAS Annual
Meetings are Armenian and English.
