The Armenian Virtual Observatory (ArVO) research group at the Byurakan
Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) was created in July 2005 to manage the Digitized First Byurakan Survey
(DFBS) project and to develop the Armenian Virtual Observatory. Due
to our efforts, the DFBS project was successfully finished and ArVO joined
the International Virtual Observatory Alliance
(IVOA). The group members are among the most active astronomers in
Byurakan; our interests go far beyond DFBS and ArVO and we keep leadership in
publication rate among BAO scientists. We
actively collaborate with scientists from USA, Italy, France, Germany,
Russia, Georgia, UK, Greece, as well as several VO projects (Euro-VO, VO-France, NVO) and Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems (IIAP) in
Yerevan. |
