 Data Visualization

To work with the DFBS spectra, one needs the corresponding sky region direct images from the Digitized Sky Surveys, like DSS1 or DSS2. Having the same region in DFBS and DSS, it is possible to study the nature of the objects and select certain kinds of them.

Given that the DSS has been catalogued in MAPS and USNO-B1.0, one can extract data for all observed objects from them and study together with the DFBS and DSS images.

DFBS and Digitized Sky Survey (DSS1) images of the same sky region with J2000 RA=01:49:54.9; DEC=+31:15:47

The field has 40x50 arcsec sizes (RA limits 01:48:22 – 01:51:28; DEC limits +30:50:45 - +31:40:58)

The estimated DFBS plate magnitude limits are: O: 18.4 (stars), 17.5 (galaxies); E: 17.1 (stars), 16.4 (galaxies)

Minnesota Automated Plate Scanner (MAPS) Catalogue data for the given region

The MAPS catalog contains 2578 objects in the given field, including 1674 stars and 904 galaxies.
